입트영] Empty Nest Syndrome / 빈둥지 증후군

When children grow up, get married, and set up on their own, the parents left at home often experience what is called Empty Nest Syndrome.

 

 - set up on one's own 자기 스스로의 인생을 찾아 나가다, 출가하다

   I can't believe our daughter is setting up on her own.

That's when the problem began, from the moment my son declared his intention to marry, I started feeling(started to feel) empty inside.

I began experiencing an early onset of Empty Nest Syndrome.

Even so, because I have always actively supported his getting married, I can't share my  inner emotional conflict with my family.
